Personality development

The world personality has been derived from the Latin word 'persona' a mask worn by actors in classical drama 🎭. Personality today is defined as an overall image of a person totality of an individual’s behavior, attitude, ego. interests, emotional respondents ,social rules .Personality is the core potential that determines one success 📈 in life and career the effect we have on people around us greatly depends on how we view ourselves as a person first.

When we say great person has good personality we mean that he has smartness ,pleasing manners ,good self control, responsibility, intelligence, appearance and managerial skills.

Components of personality:-

Personality is what makes an individual unique person. A person's personality has three components temperament, environment and character

1. Temperament:- It is the set of of genetically determined trait that determine the child's approach to the world and how the child Learns about the . Whole genes specifically do not control personality but some genes do control the development of nervous system which internally control behavior.

2. Environment:-The environment can be manipulated to get the desirable positive effect in shaping the personality.

3. Character :-A person's Character continues to evolve throughout life, although much depends on inborn traits and early experiences.

Development

Development is an ongoing process. We might call it evolution, maturity ,growth .etc. . It is a struggle to march from lower mind to higher mind rather than just considering appearance, speech and behavior.

Personality development is the development of the organized pattern of behaviors and attitudes that make a person unique and different from others.

It is not important to be attractive and beautiful to be considered as great personality they are not necessary but if you have a great mind and higher thinking level then you can be considered having a great personality.

Example- Mother Teresa was not very good looking and attractive but her great heart which made her serve the poor people and her hard work and her increasing devotions toward spreading love made her a great personality and she is even considered even today.

Uniqueness of personality?

Uniqueness is a state of condition wherein someone or something is unlike anything else in comparison.

In this earth has his or her unique personality comparing one another will just lead to decrease of self confidence.

What makes a person unique?

• Experiences-No one has had the same experience in life everyone has different experience and that is what makes is a unique person you are today

• Perception -The way we view something is not going to match up with every bodies view we have our own view to see the things which makes us feel and think and it plays a huge part in what makes a person unique.

• Creativity- Everyone is creative in somewhere but there are many different creative talents that we can have some of us are good at improvising ,some of us are good at inventing ,some are good creators whereas others at envisioning things.

• Genetics- Even our bodies are different on a genetic level research has shown that we are somewhere between 90 to 99% different . Hence we can say that no one is alike in their genetics.

• Personality- Your personality is very unique and it is what other people see when they interact with you open people to describe ways on the personality which shows how unique in it is. for example you may hear people describing some people as quiet, thoughtful, aggressive .etc.

In reality not everyone is willing to accept their personality. this may be due to the lack of self acceptance and self confidence. Many are not happy with their personality and do not like what they are but we should also understand that loving who you are with all your good attitudes and shortcomings will bring you happiness and also once we accept we are we will be more confident about yourself and will stop comparing ourselves with others because we know that we are unique as ourself and also as a human being.
